The Dress and the Mustache

True Story:

Past: Ed had a mustache.  I did not like it.  In fact, I said I hated it.  He, rightfully so, said that I was not being nice.   He thought it looked good and wanted to keep it.  I, with my meanness, convinced him otherwise. I'll throw up a picture here so that you can decide.

Present:  I bought a dress.  A Chinese/1980's style dress.  Yes it had ruffles.  Yes it was constructed of loud, bold flowers.  Yes it had ruffles.  I thought it looked good and wanted to keep it.  Ed, with his very delicate words (okay not words but looks of shock, followed by silence) told me:
"Remember what you said about my mustache?  Well that dress requires the same kind of words."  I'll throw up a picture here so that you can decide.

The dress looked something like this. But with a much louder 80's inspired flower print.  Think small flowers in neon.
Needless to say that neither of us has kept above items.  Lesson Learned?: No matter how badly you want something that other people have, sometimes it is just not that good for you.
